Rapper Lil Nas X Faces 4 Felony Charges

Los Angeles, CA (August 25, 2025) — Grammy Award–winning rapper Lil Nas X is facing four felony charges in Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

The charges stem from an incident that allegedly occurred last Thursday where the Rapper was seen walking down Ventura Blvd around 4am in nothing but white underwear and cowboy boots. Video obtained by TMZ shows him stripping down fully at one point, causing a local bystander to snatch up the discarded underwear and boots and promptly list them on eBay for $10,000, although we cannot confirm the authenticity of the listing.

Prosecutors confirmed that Lil Nas X — whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill — was formally charged with multiple felony counts, 3 counts of battery on a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer .

Hill, 26, rose to international fame in 2019 with his record-breaking hit “Old Town Road” and has since become one of the music industry’s most prominent and outspoken figures. His legal troubles come at a time when he was preparing to release new music and promote an upcoming tour.

Hill was held in custody over the weekend and released on a conditional $75,000 bail after he appeared before a judge Monday morning.
