Dr Candice Matthews Confronts Eric Sanchez Outside Pasadena City Hall

PASADENA, TX — Dr. Candice Matthews confronted Eric Sanchez outside Pasadena City Hall following a city council meeting, then held a press briefing to address the encounter and ongoing concerns from community members.

Sanchez spoke during the public comment portion of the meeting and, before leaving, asked officers to escort him to his vehicle, claiming Dr. Matthews intended to harm him.

After the meeting, Dr. Matthews approached Sanchez and told him to stop what she described as ongoing harassment directed at city officials, police officers, and others. She warned him to leave the mayor and council members alone and said she would return if the behavior continues.

Dr. Matthews said she came to Pasadena after being contacted by residents who alleged Sanchez had been harassing officials for months, adding that her actions were a response to those concerns.

She also stated she plans to continue showing up in similar situations if the behavior persists.
