“its mating season” For Rats at Sterling Point Apartments

Dr. Candice Matthews toured Sterling Point Apartments in Southwest Houston Tuesday morning. She found what appeared to be numerous structural, cosmetic, and safety issues with the 1,100+ unit property.

Dr. Matthews told NightSunTV and other journalists that she would be touring Sterling Point Apartments after receiving numerous complaints from residents. During the tour, two separate residents informed us that there was a rat infestation, and when they brought it to the attention of the leasing office, they were told, “It’s mating season,” by a leasing office employee.

After walking the property, Dr. Matthews found numerous boarded-up and broken windows, electrical hazards, broken access gates, and many other issues.

During the walkthrough, the property manager approached Dr. Matthews and informed her that he was aware of the issues, stating that they are serious and that he is working promptly to address them.
