DR. CANDICE MATTHEWS UNLOADS ON AUBREY TAYLOR, DROPS BOMBSHELL ALLEGATIONS IN PRESS CONFERENCE
Today, Dr. Candice Matthews held a press conference calling for local elected officials to distance themselves from political commentator and blogger Aubrey Taylor, whom she described as a “political operative” with an extensive criminal background.
During the event, Matthews presented documents, court records, and screenshots that she said raise serious concerns about Taylor’s credibility and influence within Harris County politics.
Matthews alleged that Taylor has operated across political party lines while building relationships with elected officials and political campaigns throughout the region. She argued that public officials should be more transparent about any financial or professional relationships they have with him.
Among the allegations discussed were claims regarding Taylor’s criminal history, including prior convictions and a 2023 criminal charge involving an elderly individual. Matthews also referenced alleged financial issues, including unpaid toll violations, child support disputes, and a previous legal mediation agreement she claimed was not honored.
The press conference also included allegations involving Taylor’s interactions with women. Matthews displayed alleged text messages from an anonymous individual who accused Taylor of sexual assault and claimed he later attempted to pay her to remain silent. Matthews also referenced multiple protective orders she said had been filed against him.
Additionally, Matthews identified several local politicians and public figures whom she said have financially supported Taylor or maintained professional relationships with him. She urged those individuals to reexamine those associations.
“We need transparency,” Matthews said, calling on elected officials to publicly address their connections to Taylor and end any ongoing collaborations.
Aubrey Taylor has not publicly responded to the allegations discussed during the press conference.
The claims made by Dr. Matthews have not been independently verified, and no findings of wrongdoing beyond publicly available court records and legal proceedings have been established as a result of the allegations presented during the event.
