Hit and Run Driver Leaves Woman For Dead

Beechnut & Gessner — At approximately 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, a woman was struck and killed while attempting to cross the roadway.

According to authorities, the woman was first hit by a silver pickup truck and then by a white BMW. First responders pronounced her deceased at the scene.

Investigators say the driver of the silver pickup fled immediately after the crash. The driver of the white BMW remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.

At this time, no description of the pickup truck driver has been released. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers or the Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division.
