“You can’t control the cars” Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Car in Hit And Run

A man was fatally struck in a hit-and-run incident late Sunday night at the intersection of Scott and Anita Streets in Houston.

According to Sergeant David Rose of the Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division, the victim was found lying in the northbound lanes. Evidence suggests multiple vehicles may have initially struck the man before a female driver, who remained on scene and cooperated, ran over the victim.

The incident is under further investigation by the hit-and-run division, with nearby businesses and Metro Rail being consulted for video footage.

Authorities are working to determine how the victim ended up in the roadway.
